Valuer Abraham Samoei was elected by members during the 49th Annual General Meeting held on 13th April 2018 at the Leisure Lodge Beach & Golf Resort, Mombasa. Education & Audit Committee Morris Okoth Omollo; Chair, Finance & Audit Committee Isaiah Bonyo Oyuga; Chair, Public Relations and Editorial Committee Erastus Chege Mwangi; Chair, Human Resources Committee Evans Omagwa; Chair, Young Surveyors Committee Kipkoech Evans Cheruiyot. Mr. Samoei seeks to revitalize the surveying profession in Kenya. He has committed to lead the Institution to a world class professional body for the benefit of members. The elected officials will serve the institution for the next two years as per the ISK constitution.
The Cabinet Administrative Secretary, Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning Mr. Gideon Mungaro graced the ISK Annual Dinner Dance at the Leisure Lodge Beach & Golf Resort, Diani on 13th April 2018.Mr. Mungaro called on the ISK members to ensure professionalism in the management of matters of land both at the Ministry and the Institution. He highlighted that the Ministry and entire leadership was geared towards the digitization of the land records. “Land professionals should ensure prudence and honesty in land transactions and financial management, He said”. Mr. Mungaro shared a speech with the members on “Transformation of processes at the Ministry of Lands for greater benefits of the Country”
